The Folger has the largest collection of Shakespearean works in the world, including the largest collection of first folios. I was hired to document the 80-year-old building before major renovations began. The Folger is one of my favorite places to visit when I am in Washington, DC. It was a thrill to learn about the original design of the building, take photos from the stage theater, spend time in the vault amongst ancient classics of literature, and to sit in the great reading room. All the world is, indeed, a stage!
