Core Values
Collaboration
We are all in this together! I work with many talented photographers, designers, marketing and communications specialists. I also work with fundraisers. executive directors, volunteer leaders, trail maintainers, architects, project managers, and construction contractors. It takes a village to raise a barn and it takes a team of people to pull off any project. And happily, I do not do wedding photography.
Integrity of Craft
My name is on the work I create and I take my craft seriously. The visual stories I tell must honor the subject. The skills, tools and experience I bring to my work are reflected in the quality of the images I produce. For this reason, I focus on the type of photography I do best and most enjoy.
Stewardship
Our public lands are an inheritance from those who had the foresight to protect them for the enjoyment of future generations. As a conservation photographer, trail maintainer, and preservation nonprofit board member, I strive to follow in their footsteps.
Hands On Giving Back
The Carolina Mountain Club maintains a 94-mile section of the 2,190-mile Appalachian Trail. I look after the 2.5-mile section from Snowbird Mountain to Groundhog Creek shelter. It’s a pleasure to work alongside fellow CMC members and friends as we keep up the AT for day- and thru-hikers alike.
